Dr Tuula Nieminen
Tuula Nieminen is an international law and policy expert with over twenty years of experience in the European institutions in Brussels, a City-of-London law firm and academia. She is currently a Legal Adviser to the British Government’s Department for International Trade.
Tuula’s work has included advise on women’s rights and empowerment, and she is a regular speaker on women’s rights and empowerment at international conferences. Being passionate about women’s empowerment, Tuula mentors and trains formerly trafficked women aspiring to become entrepreneurs in the UK. She is an advisor to the Istanbul-based UN Women Europe & Central Asia Regional Office.
Tuula has post-graduate qualifications in international law (PhD, LLM) and global business (MBA). She has also trained as a Co-Active Coach, and acquired a certification in International Corporate Compliance & Ethics (CCEP-I). Tuula is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA).
